Monetization. Welcome to v3.0!

This is a game changer! Version 3.0 came way ahead of schedule. Version 2.5 was set for release by the end of July 2014 and 3.0 was to be completed in early 2015. But… here we are! We put all of our resources into developing this masterpiece. Unfortunately we had to pause development of LuckyHumanFoot.com in order to complete v3.0 (artist platform) months ahead of shedule. Development of LuckyHumanFoot.com will now resume and be developed in parallel with InnerCircles.ca (a future blog post about that will be posted shortly).

There are far too many updates, changes and new features to list in a single blog post. So we will create an internal blog for artist only and list them all there.

Lucky Human Foot

Run Rabbit, Run!

LuckyHumanFoot.com is almost ready for it’s Alpha release! We have been working on it around the clock to meet the impossible deadline that we have set for ourselves. Because the design changes so often the only screenshot that exists is of the updated Visualizer that has been borrowed and enhanced from DruHix.com. For those who care we will go into more detail on that below. As well as developer updates for the tech geeks who we like to build networks.

The new Visualizer is awesome! And great for parties or chill sessions with friends. Some of the new features include:

  • More colors + more responsive visual effects with the Rabbit logo
  • Mouse movement triggers Music Player controls
  • Flip through your playlist without exiting the visualizer
  • The effects auto suppress if your browser starts to run slow

Disclaimer:
The following is some heavy tech stuff for the IT professionals!

We have been stress testing the hell out of our API for months now. It’s nearing it’s public release so we thought we’d take a change, pop the hood, mess around with infrastructure and hopefully not break it.  We designed a new web cluster and tested it against our existing cluster. The results were impressive! We managed to design a server cluster that is 64 times faster!  Instead of scrapping the current setup we simply reassigned it to only work on low priority API calls that are not time sensitive. With the new cluster assigned to the high priority tasks with the addition of using the secondary cluster as a fail-over in the event that sometime goes wrong with the primary cluster. This is going to make future web development very easy not only for us but also for anyone using the API!

Stay tuned for the launch of our enterprise level solutions! Contact us, let us design and build a highly scalable network for you!

YouTube promotions have arrived

We have been working on YouTube promotions for some time now. We are finally ready to launch this exciting new feature! Only one small problem… We couldn’t settle on a price. So (for now) it’s free. It’s actually only available on active promotion campaigns and it does not add to the daily cost of the campaign.

You should also check out our “EQ YouTube Videos“. It only cost $5 for 1 video or $3.50 each for 4 videos and we add $0.01 to your account balance for every view it gets (as long as there aren’t any copyright claims against the contents of the music in the video).

Having your own official artist YouTube channel is important these days especially with the advancements of Smart TVs that come with YouTube built into the operating system. YouTube is a great artist discovery tool.

Version-2

Our main site finally enters v2!

Finally! Our main site enters into version 2. Our artist portal has been in it’s second version for some time now. In fact, we are close to launching v2.2. Over the past couple of months we have spent a lot of time building our team so that we can provide more services to the tens of thousands of artist that use Just Press Play everyday.

We have also spent over 1,000 man hours in last 2 months beefing up our infrastructure to take on the massive load of our new development platform. Our soon to be released API will be launched soon along with a couple of new music sites that will be 100% powered by our API.

So much more to come…
